SiN Reloaded Multiplayer
Online PvP is on the Steam feature list. The campaign is still a solo raid with JC on the radio.
SiN Reloaded lists single-player and online PvP as separate Steam features. That split matters. The Freeport campaign — Bank through Thrall, then Wages of SiN — is a one-player story. You will not drop in with a friend to hack a terminal. You will not split a patrol boat. If you came here looking for a shared campaign, stop: the story is solo. The PvP side is the old-school deathmatch / capture-the-flag family Ritual shipped in 1998, rebuilt on KEX so modern connections and gamepads are not an afterthought.
The full game launches 24 September 2026. Until then the playable slice is the Steam demo, which exists to test gunfeel, not to populate a ranked ladder. Do not expect a busy PvP browser from a June trial with a 252-player peak on day one and single-digit evenings later. Launch week is when server browsers tell the truth.
What Steam actually promises
Store tags: Online PvP, full controller support, Steam Cloud, achievements. Original Gold-era language also mentioned deathmatch and capture the flag. Reloaded has not published a separate esports white paper. Treat PvP as the classic arena modes until Nightdive posts a mode list on 24 September. When they do, this page updates. Inventing a battle-royale playlist would be a lie.
The campaign’s locational damage, knock-away guns, and dual-Magnum independent reload still apply in spirit. A headshot is still a headshot. Reloaded’s tick-rate bump (the same 40 Hz idea as the Quake II re-release, per players who ran the demo on Nightmare) is why shots track instead of rolling dice. That is the PvP pitch: the guns from the weapons guide without JC narrating.
What you should not bring from the campaign
- Terminals and ATMs. Hacking is a story toy.
- Fail-forward timers. Secrets will not rewrite a CTF map because you were slow.
- Peace-sign friendlies. Those markers exist so you do not turret a civilian in the Bank intro. In deathmatch everyone is a target.
- Vehicles as a class. Vehicles are campaign set pieces unless a specific PvP map says otherwise after launch.
- Wages of SiN story. Manero’s pack is still a solo epilogue. See Wages of SiN.
Binds, gyro, and look
Bind mouse look and a sensible Use even in PvP — Use still reloads from a dropped gun on a corpse in the SiN fantasy. Open controls and settings before you queue. Demo Update #1 fixed inverted gyro and yaw/roll on the non-Steam Input path. If you play Deck or a gyro pad, that patch is already in the trial; the demo notes page quotes the changelog.
Gold versus remastered visuals is a personal filter. It does not change hitboxes. Pick the look you can actually track heads with.
Loadouts in a deathmatch brain
There is no persistent campaign stash. Arena spawns give you a pool. Dual Magnums are still S-tier because independent reload means one cylinder can die while the other works. Shotgun owns tight Gold-era geometry. Rockets punish campers and punish you in a closet. The Quantum Destabilizer will still kill you if you overcharge it in front of a spawn. Conservation habits from loadouts still apply: do not spray the chaingun because the map is pretty.

Linux, Deck, and latency
Proton 11 already ran the demo on Fedora, per GamingOnLinux. That is a campaign data point, not a ping guarantee. If PvP feels spongy on Deck, check Linux and Deck and your frame cap in settings before blaming netcode Nightdive has not published.
After 24 September
If Reloaded ships a mode list, playlist names, or a dedicated browser, they will land on this page and on the updates hub. Until then, the honest sentence is: online PvP exists on the store page, the campaign does not use it, and you should learn the guns in the demo or the walkthrough so you are not learning Magnum recoil in someone else’s CTF.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Can two people play the campaign together?
No. The campaign is single-player. Steam lists online PvP separately from the story.
What PvP modes are confirmed?
Online PvP is on the store. Classic SiN used deathmatch and capture the flag. Wait for launch notes on 24 September 2026 before assuming extra playlists.
Does the demo include multiplayer?
The trial is a two-mission gunfeel slice. Use it to test binds. Do not expect a populated server browser. See the demo guide.
Do Reloaded weapon tweaks apply in PvP?
Independent Magnums, remote mines, and chaining pulse are campaign-documented. Assume they exist wherever those guns spawn unless a patch says otherwise.
Where do I set sensitivity?
Controls and settings. Gyro users should read demo notes for Update #1.
