SiN Reloaded Demo Update #1
The 15 June 2026 changelog for app 4679680, quoted from Nightdive, plus what it does not fix.
Nightdive shipped the SiN Reloaded Steam demo on 14 June 2026 and followed it the next evening with Demo Update #1. Daniel G posted the notes on the Steam news hub. This page copies that list so you do not have to hunt a news blurb, then explains what it means for Deck, gyro pads, and the two maps the trial actually contains. It is not a full-game patch. The campaign still launches 24 September 2026.

Official Update #1 changelog
Quoted from Nightdive, 15 June 2026:
- Fixes to non-Steam Input gyroscope path; yaw/roll should be correct now
- Gyro turn is no longer inverted
- Add a few more missing gyro options, and decrease step value of gyro deadzone
- Fixed small typo in settings (“bost” -> “boost”)
- Something of a Paradox: Fixed not having proper lightmaps (was a half-resolution bake, missing both high and vanilla resolution lightmaps)
- Something of a Paradox: Fixed being able to escape the map
- Missile Silo: Fixed medic healing the floor once his patient dies
That is the entire public list. There is no Update #2 on the Steam news hub as of this writing. If Nightdive posts another, it belongs here, not in a rumor paragraph.
What the gyro lines mean
Steam Input and non-Steam Input are two paths into the same look. If you play on Steam Deck, a DualSense, or a gyro mouse, Update #1 is why you should let the client update before you judge Reloaded’s modernized controls. Inverted turn and wrong yaw/roll made the trial feel drunk. Deadzone step size being too coarse made small flicks useless. Settings is where those sliders live. Controls is the bind list.
If you launched the demo on 14 June and never updated, you are playing the worse gyro build. Verify the news post is in your client.
Paradox and Missile Silo
The trial is not Freeport City Bank. Update #1 names Missile Silo and Something of a Paradox. Paradox is a Wages of SiN museum map. The out-of-map exploit and half-resolution lightmaps were why some players saw a plastic void or a wall they could fall through. Reloaded’s Gold visual toggle needs both high and vanilla lightmaps; a half bake broke both looks. After the patch, toggle Gold in the silo and on Paradox before you decide which face you want on 24 September.
The silo medic healing the floor is comedy until it is a stuck script. If a medic was lighting the concrete instead of a body, that event could stall. The patch kills that. It does not change the launch-timer philosophy of the full campaign — that still lives on secrets and the walkthrough.
What Update #1 does not do
- It does not add Freeport City Bank, Chem, Area 57, or Thrall.
- It does not populate multiplayer.
- It does not import saves into the September campaign unless Nightdive later says so.
- It does not change PC system requirements.
- It does not replace the what’s new list of Magnum, mine, pulse, and map-flow work.
SteamDB still shows the demo as a Windows KEX build. Linux play is Proton. GamingOnLinux had it running on Fedora with Proton 11 around launch week. That is useful. It is not a native port announcement.
How to read future notes
Weapon number tweaks go to the tier list. Slider names go to settings. Store SKUs go to platforms. Demo-only bugs go here. Behind-the-scenes interviews go to behind the scenes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
When did Demo Update #1 ship?
15 June 2026, the day after the trial went live. Daniel G posted the notes on Steam.
Should I re-download the demo?
Yes if you care about gyro, Deck, Paradox lighting, or a silo medic that used to heal the floor.
Does this patch add new missions?
No. It fixes the two maps the trial already had. See the demo guide for what you actually play.
Is there a later demo patch?
Not on the public Steam news hub yet. This page will gain a second section if Nightdive posts one.
Does Update #1 affect the 24 September campaign?
These are trial fixes. Assume they land in the full build. Do not treat them as the what's new remaster list.
